We were recently up at the park with our kids. The slide is cracked badly and really needs replacement. Its not only a safety concern but also reflects poorly on the neighborhood. Can the board repair this equipment or encourage Washoe County to do so? I have pictures if you would like a visual. Thanks for considering this request. Marked as spam

I received a call Friday from the Parks Dept. The slide has been repaired and the caution tape removed. They replaced the broken section. I checked it out, looks great! Thank you for letting us know. Marked as spam

Thanks so much for checking into this. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. Soccer season starts in mid-August and I bet the park will see younger siblings playing there during practices. Marked as spam

I spoke with the head of Parks Maintenance today. He was at the park, agreed the slide needs replaced, has put caution tape around the equipment and is now working on getting it replaced. Thank you again for Posting your concern on the message board. Marked as spam
