GALENA COUNTRY ESTATES HOMEOWNERS MEETING

General Meeting March 22, 2012

 

 

 

In attendance, 10 Association addresses were represented by 8 people and 5 board members.  There are 75 proxies received or on file.  A quorum is 25.

 

 

Agenda items and discussion:

 

1.  Review of the July 2012 through June 2012 Preliminary Budget

 

The proposed budget was discussed and without objections approved.

Current financial statement shows balance of $18,855, accounts

receivable of $8,295 and Reserve balance of $17,666.

 

 

1. Sagebrush in the Neighborhood

 

General discussion on sagebrush being “weed” vs “state-flower”.  The discussion led to agreement that homeowners must maintain all shrubs, trees, grass and plantings on their lot and in accordance with applicable fire and safety codes, as stated in the CC&R’s.  Fine letters will be sent if not maintained.

 

1. Speeding in the Neighborhood

 

General discussion on excessive speed in the neighborhood and the possibility of installing Speed Humps to reduce the speed.  Consensus being to proceed with research of requirements and costs of installing speed humps.

 

1. Input from HOA members

 

Concerns discussed regarding Dogs at Large, Barking and what can be done about it.  Suggestion made to e-mail the board and Courtesy letters/ Fine letters will be sent.

 

1. Election of Board members:

C. One, two-year member: Judy Baatrup

D. One, two-year member: Eddie Lorton

E. One, three-year member: Don Verhoef
